About Sandy	The Art of Sandy Robinson About Sandy From early childhood it was evident that Sandy Robinson would be an artist. She was born and raised in Illinois, where she began her formal training at Illinois State University. Through the years she has attended painting workshops and classes in the United States and the Far East. During her career of more than 35 years, Sandy has worked in many mediums and painted a wide variety of subjects. But her intense love of the ocean has always drawn her like a magnet back to her favorite subject seascapes, and to her favorite medium, oil. The artist's paintings have hung in a number of Fine Art Galleries and have been shown in one-artist exhibitions and juried group shows in many of the States as well as in Japan and the Philippines. She has received numerous First Place awards, not only for her seascapes but paintings in other genre as well. The artist has taught oil painting in the United States and in the Far East but is now devoting her time to creating more of her exquisite work. Sandy's paintings are in private and corporate collections throughout the United States and abroad. Sandy spends her time painting and doing shows in her home town of Carmel by the Sea, CA Betty Graubard Betty Graubard Gallery, Fort Bragg, CA "Painting the ocean gives me the opportunity to explore atmosphere, light, and the sea in action.
